This high quality site is managed to a very high standard and has had 70+ Reviews, it is quiet, peaceful, secluded and is level with good access to A303 & A36 and is OPEN all year round.
The campsite is an ideal touring base for Stonehenge, Longleat, Bath, Wilton, Salisbury Cathedral, Avebury, Devizes and local attractions in Wiltshire and the New Forest.
Stonehenge Campsite is very popular and it is best to book at peak times (Weekends, Half terms & Bank Holidays) as we have a pitch limit.
Eating & Drinking - 8 Pub Challenge.
There are at least 8 excellent pubs - within walking distance - 2 are within a short level 5 to 10 minute walk via footpaths - The Boot Inn @ Berwick St James, Salisbury, Wiltshire ( See photo ) and The Bell Inn at Winterbourne Stoke, Wiltshire.
Then there are at least 6 other Pubs & Inns within a 2-5 mile walk, including The Pelican Inn at Stapleford (2 Miles), The Royal Oak, George & The Plume of Feathers at Shrewton (2 Miles), The Rainbow on the Lake at Steeple Langford (3 Miles), The Swan Inn at Stoford (4 Miles) and The Royal Oak at Great Wishford ( 4.5 Miles ).
All serve good quality home cooked food & Ale and some have Skittle Allies or Pool tables.
Berwick Farm Shop - we have a fantastic local farm shop (0.6 Mile walk on footpath)that sells every thing you could possibly need for your camping trip.
There is also a mini Market in Stapleford ( 2 Miles South) and a large Co Op Supermarket in Amesbury ( 6 Miles East).
We also sell homegrown Free Range Eggs from my son Georges hens, and can source most requests from Berwick farm shop in the village (see above) or the butcher in Shrewton.
Outstanding Walking, Mountain Biking, Fishing & Golf.
You can walk directly on to the main local footpath. There is outstanding Mountain Biking on Salisbury Plain, in Grovely Woods and in the Till Valley & Wylye Valley as well.
There is very good walking via local footpaths & bridlepaths direct from the site. In short the Stonehenge Campsite is an ideal base for Mountain Biking, Running or walking or just strolling to the pub.
Fishing & Golf. Loads of Lake and Chalk stream fishing. Golf driving ranges (x2) & Golf Courses (x3) all within 15 minute drive.

By Caravan or Car SAT NAV POSTCODE: SP3 4TQ
From Stonehenge - head west on A303 for 3 Miles. Take 1st Left in Winterbourne Stoke onto B3083 and head south for ½ mile. Site is on left. (Drive time 5 - 10 Mins)
From Wylye - head east on A303 towards London for 4 miles take 1st right onto B3083, heading south. Site is ½ mile on left. (Drive time 5 Mins)
From Salisbury - head north west on Devizes road A360 for 6 miles. At A303 rounderbout take 1st exit left, heading west onto A303 for 2 miles. Take 2nd left onto B3083 and head south. Site is ½ mile on left. (Drive time 15 Mins)
By Bus. From Salisbury catch No 2 Bus from Salisbury to Devizes. Get off at bus stop after Berwick St James, before A303, 100m from Campsite entrance. (14 buses per day - cost approx £3.70).Please note last bus about 5.30pm and no buses on Sundays!
By Taxi. Ask for Stonehenge Campsite at Winterbourne Stoke, postcode SP3 4TQ - via Devizes road.
(9 Miles approx 10 Mins - cost approx £15-20).
By Train. London Waterloo to Salisbury is about 90 Mins
From Salisbury Train Station, Catch No 2 Bus or get Taxi.
By Bike. The campsite is 9 miles NW of Salisbury. Take A30 West to Wilton and then , A36 west to Stapleford and then bear right and head north on B3083 for 2 miles ( Bike time approx 30 mins)
