Point Sands is situated on its own long stretch of beautiful beach overlooking the islands of Gigha, Cara, Islay & Jura. This is the closest campsite for visiting any of these islands.
Set well back off the main road, you will find peace and tranquility in the woodland walks and cycle track. You may see deer, ducks, birds of prey, seals and otters.
Enjoy sandcastles on the beach, or sunset strolls with amazing views.
The Park Shop is open all day, every day and the new Cara Cafe provides freshly cooked local produce, which includes a Children's menu.

Directions
Take the A82 out of Glasgow towards Loch Fyne and Inverary: Onto the A83 to Lochgilphead and the lovely fishing village of Tarbert.
Continue on A83 towards Campbeltown and as you reach the hamlet of Rhunahaorine turn right at the village school. Pass through a farm yard and down the private drive towards the sea. Welcome to Point Sands!
