Cove Park, Portland
Connected to Dorset only by a Road Bridge and the famous Chesil Beach, this 'Gibralar of the Channel' first became a holiday venue with King George III and Queen Charlotte who made annual visits.

By car from Weymouth Jubilee Clock: Turn right down King Street roundabout, take 2nd exit over Swannery Bridge, at Westham roundabout take 1st exit down Westwey Road. At Harbour roundabout go straight over, bringing you onto Rodwell Road following signs to Portland (A354).
At the end of the Portland Beach Road follow road up through Fortuneswell, continue upwards to the Portland Heights Hotel (roundabout take second exit) follow road through Easton and Wakeham. Cove Park is positioned on the left-hand side, just past Portland Museum and Church Ope Cove, next door to Pennsylvania Castle. If you continue on this road it will bring you to Portland Bill Lighthouse, which is approx 1.5 miles from the park.
