East Cowes to Fairway Park (30 MINUTES)
After leaving the ferry terminal, drive straight ahead to a small roundabout. Go straight on and bear left up the hill, past Osbourne House and Barton Manor until you come to a large roundabout. Take the first exit left towards Ryde and drive to the set of traffic lights just over the top of the hill, by the Cedars Pub. Turn right here and drive a short distance past the Woodmans Arms Pub and then left at the mini roundabout. Follow this road until you come to another mini roundabout at Robin Hill Country Park. Go straight on here but then immediately left at the Hare and Hounds Pub. Drive along the Downs road, with its beautiful views of the Arreton Valley, down a steep hill and up the other side, turning right to Brading just before the top. This stretch of road has stunning views of Sandown Bay to the right and across to the mainland on the left before dropping down a steep hill into Brading. At the T-Junction by the old church, turn right down to a set of traffic lights and then right again towards Sandown.
After nearly a mile, the road bends sharply to the left under a railway bridge. Turn right immediately before the bridge (right on the bend) into Perowne Way. Follow this road through the housing estate, climbing a short, steep hill. Over the brow of the hill the road bends to the left where you will see a Spar shop on the left hand side of the road. Our entrance is on the right, directly opposite this shop.
Fishbourne to Fairway Holiday Park(30 MINUTES)
On leaving the ferry terminal turn right, then left at the traffic lights towards Ryde. Follow this road through Binstead to the outskirts of Ryde. Go straight on at the traffic lights then first left into Argyl Street. Follow this road through two sets of traffic lights, down St Johns Hill, over the railway bridge then up the other side until you arrive at the T-junction. Turn right here onto the A3055 sign-posted Sandown. Follow this road through a set of traffic lights, straight on at the roundabout by the Tesco Superstore then straight on for another two miles to the village of Brading. Once through Brading, go straight on at the traffic lights then after nearly a mile, the road bends sharply to the left under a railway bridge. Yarmouth to Fairway Holiday Park (45 MINUTES)
Turn left out of the ferry terminal onto the A3054 to Newport. The road takes you through the village of Shalfleet and then Parkhurst Forest on your left. Traffic calming has been introduced at the end of Forest Road and shortly after this you will come to a large roundabout. Take the third exit (sign-posted Sandown) and follow the dual carriageway right down to the bottom where it meets the large Coppins Bridge roundabout, which has a traffic light system. As you approach this roundabout, get into the near side lane (marked Sandown) and take the third exit (sign-posted Sandown). Go straight across at the next roundabout (by the Matalan Superstore) and follow this road all the way through Arreton, Apse Heath and on towards Lake. About half a mile past the roundabout by the Morrison's Supermarket, there is a set of traffic lights at the T-Junction. Turn left here and follow the road as it bends to the right. Turn left by the Manor House Pub, (just before the railway bridge) into the road called The Fairway. Drive down this road about half a mile and take the first right (just before the High School on the left). Carry on over two traffic-calming areas and our entrance is on the left opposite the Spar Shop.
Travelling by Public Transport to Fairway Holiday Park
We advise that you catch the catamaran or hovercraft to Ryde and take the train to Sandown Station.
Portsmouth to Ryde Catamaran
The catamaran docks at Ryde Pier Head and from here you can get a train through to Sandown Station.
Southsea to Ryde Hovercraft
The hovercraft lands on the beach at Ryde Esplanade. On leaving the terminal, turn right and cross the railway line via the footbridge.
Catch the train from Ryde Esplanade Station to Sandown.
Sandown Station to Fairway Holiday Park
On Foot: (approx 10 mins).
On leaving the railway station, turn right onto the footpath then right again through the underpass. Turn right again and follow the road through the housing estate until you see a Spar shop on the right. Our entrance is on the left directly opposite the shop.
By Taxi:
There is a taxi rank outside the railway station. If there is no taxi waiting, there is a phone box just to the right of the main entrance. A local taxi firm running 24/7 is Lazy Dayz. Please call on (01983) 407092.
